88 Generation Students Group tours Mon State

Sixteen members of 88 Generation Students Group kicked off their tour of Mon State on November 9 with an ambitious first-day travel schedule that included Belin, Kyaikhto, Thaton, Paung Town, and Moulmein, the capital of Mon State.

Father And Son Wounded By Gunshots In Pauktaw

The Burmese government’s Union-level peacemaking group, led by President’s Office Minister Aung Min, met members of the exiled All Burma Students Democratic Front (ABSDF) on Friday in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where they reached agreement on two points, said Myo Win, the general-secretary of ABSDF.

The officer who wasn’t carrying a gun was accompanied by a Rakhine man. The home owner, who suspected the duo were up to no good, didn’t answer the door, according to a relative.
