Plans to hold a rally in Myitkyina calling for an end to war in Kachin State have been thwarted by the Kachin State capital’s chief of police.

A Karen National Union delegations met with Vice-Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, the head of the Defense Ministry and the Tatmadaw (Burma Army), in the country’s capital, Naypyidaw, to talk about the need for nationwide ‘concrete ceasefire agreements’ between all ethnic armed groups and the government.

ယမန္ေန႔က ကခ်င္ျပည္ လြတ္လပ္ေရးတပ္မေတာ္ KIA မွ လက္လြတ္လုိက္သည့္ ကာကင္းစခန္းရွိ အစိုးရ တပ္မ်ားသည္ တပ္ရင္း (၂၄) ဌာနခ်ဳပ္စခန္း တည္ရွိရာ ဖြန္းပ်န္ဘြမ္အား ဆက္လက္ သိမ္းပိုက္ႏိုင္ရန္ အႀကိမ္ႀကိမ္ ႀကိဳးစား ခဲ့ေသာ္လည္း မေအာင္ျမင္ဟု တိုက္ပြဲ ႀကီးၾကပ္ေနသည့္ KIA အရာရွိ တဦးက ေျပာသည္။
